Service & Installation Technician - Access Control
The Service & Installation Technician is an essential role for our Access Control division. This role is a Lead Technician responsible for project services and installations across our residential & commercial gates, access control,
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Responsible for prepping the area for installation
• Understands access control devices
• Understanding and an ohm meter, power tools
• Oversees cost effectiveness and proper disposal of leftover materials
• Responsible for keeping the company vehicle clean and notifying the Manager of any issues regarding the vehicle
• Operate company vehicles in a safe manner
• Willingness to learn new products
• Demonstrates strong customer service
• Regular attendance on time at work and provides appropriate flexibility
• Other job-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1+ years of experience in the electrical/access control industry/automatic gate is required. The right person can enter the training program
• Experience in the following is preferred: gate operation, concrete work, fence or gate installation, underground loops and loop detectors, maglocks and strikes, entry systems/access control, welding
• Familiarity with brands, including Viking, Liftmaster, DoorKing, and Linear, preferred
• As a condition of employment, the employer will conduct a background check and drug screen prior to hire
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to different work schedules, including on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service
• Ability to perform physical work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather elements, including Florida heat, for 8+ hours a day, 40+ hours a week
• Ability to understand, speak, and write English

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The employee will respond to service tickets promptly and communicate with customers before and after service is completed. The employee will drive safely to perform services and installations. The employee may occasionally have to lift and/or move up to eighty pounds. The employee will be expected to work with a crew or independently to perform services or installations.
