Hi, I have 2 rooms for rent in my house in downtown Sarasota. It is located within walking distance to downtown, in Gillespie Park, which is close to the Rosemary District, John Ringling Bridge, and Lido Beach. Each room is $750/month plus 1/3rd utilities. I am the owner and my friend is renting the 3rd room. He is a 49 year old male who works full time. I've known him since 2008 and he's a great guy. I lived with him in a community house with 3 other females for 5 years, and I can vouch for him being very calm, mature, friendly, and one of my best roommates. I do not live in the house, but am screening applicants along with him to see if they're the right fit. I will require work references and possibly a background check. You will be asked to sign a year lease. (For the right person, we could consider a shorter lease, if you fill your room with the next roommate, approved by all, before you leave.) 1st months rent, last, and security deposit ($300) required at move in. All roommates will always be involved in screening and choosing the next roommate when one leaves. All roommates are responsible for maintaining the outside areas, keeping the house clean, being respectful of others, and paying 1/3rd utilities. No smoking. We prefer no pets for the consideration of the other roommates. We're looking for people who are very self aware and considerate.
