"Education, Employment & Career Development and Housing Advocacy,"
The objective of the Enrichment and Sustainability Specialist is to assist participants of More Too Life Foundation in their growth and development by forming educational and career strategies which are consistent with their wellness, case plans and life goals. It is a process of research, relationship building, knowledge of surrounding counties’, educational institutions, vocational programs, internships, and job readiness opportunities. The position also includes the coordination of housing options and stability with keen knowledge on residential programs, independent living facilities, affordable housing, and emergency placement alternatives. Experience working with victims of crime and human trafficking is important.
§ The ESS’s role is expected to be active and assertive toward identifying and advising participants/mentees on options related to their desired academic, employment, and housing desires and needs.
§ Help participants define and develop realistic educational career plans through schedule planning for each assigned MTLF mentee. In addition to monitoring progress with consistent follow up with partnering educational institutions and housing.
§ Establish and build relationships with local business, non-profits and corporations to locate internships and jobs. Includes maintaining a database of all contacts and programs beneficial to the mentee.
§ Work with MTLF staff and report to the Managing Director and Executive Director on status and needs of participants.
§ ESS must be well-versed in MTL’s internal educational mentoring process and curriculum with ability to conduct workshops and sessions with individuals and with groups.
§ Assist with Coordinating and overseeing part of MTLF’s Internship and Volunteer program.
§ Evaluate case plans, past trauma, and current circumstances of participants to successfully locate and identify matching living options best suitable for participant.
§ Become knowledgeable and adhere to organization policies, procedures, and requirements.
§ Training and career opportunities for mentees should include a focus on technology, coding, and progressive fields that pose longevity and livable wages.
§ The position will work within the Suncoast region with time between Sarasota and Tampa Bay.
Skills and Qualifications:
§ A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher with knowledge of college application process, FAFSA, etc.
§ Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
§ Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office with ability to create spreadsheets and PowerPoint.
§ Must have transportation and willing to travel in counties within Suncoast region as needed.
§ Demonstrates strong character, integrity, and respect for all demographics.
§ Have knowledge of trauma informed care and experience working with trauma victims.
§ Must be team-spirited, work-well with others while being solution-driven and a self-starter
§ Experience creating and overseeing programs with innovative initiative.
§ Background experience as an educator, academic advisor, mentor, or leadership position working with youth, young adults, and victims of crime and trauma.
§ Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus.
§ Strong knowledge in online learning tools and resources.
· Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
· Ability to record, proofread and check documents and files for accuracy, to prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribe, and read.
· Ability to use a keyboard and video monitor to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and data along with Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to answer and respond to telephones call within a timely manner according to policies and referral follow up procedures.

· Day shift with attendance to events and meetings that may be on weekends or evenings.
· Schedule may fluctuate based on trauma, crisis, victims in need, or project urgent deadlines
