OS40 DLX Plus Guitars feature alder bodies with maple necks, as well as custom soapbar pickups and premium electronics. Known for their gritty and raw tone, "soap bar" single coil pickups produce a tone that is somewhere between that of classic single coil and dual coil humbucker style pickups. Although less common than single coil or humbucker pickups, soap bar pickups are responsible for some of the greatest and most memorable recorded tones in rock music.
