A Painter Helper assists professional painters with surface preparation (sanding, scraping, taping), material handling (mixing paint, moving supplies), equipment setup, and cleanup, ensuring jobs run smoothly, safely, and efficiently in residential, commercial, often learning on-the-job as an entry-level role.
Must have vaild DL and reliable transportation work time starts at 8am-430pm
Must be able to understand and communicate in English
Must be able to follow direction to the standards set by owner
We provide more services then just painting
Key Responsibilities
Surface Preparation: Sanding, scraping old paint, cleaning surfaces, filling cracks, applying caulk, masking areas with tape/drop cloths.
Paint & Material Prep: Stirring/mixing paints and primers, loading spray guns, setting up equipment (ladders, scaffolding).
Application Assistance: Applying primer/finish coats with brushes, rollers, or spray guns under supervision, or doing basic hand-painting/lettering.
Site Maintenance: Keeping the work area clean, orderly, and safe; setting up and breaking down equipment.
Cleanup: Cleaning tools, equipment, and the job site thoroughly after the project
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, stand, and work in various conditions.
Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with hand and power tools (sanders, buffers).
Attention to Detail: For taping, color matching, and thorough prep work.
Teamwork & Communication: Following instructions from lead painters.
Experience: Often entry-level, with on-the-job training common
