Photo #1 is off the internet to show what he will look like when he is grown. Photo #2 and #3 are of the rooster that is available.
I ordered hens and ended up with 2 roosters. So, I need to part with one as they are reaching maturity, and soon will be fighting over the hens. This guy needs his own flock. He is 5 months old, and will get his tail feathers in, and will be crowing soon. I raised these so for the most part they are pets, and are use to being in a coop. Free range is not an option out here in the woods, as there are too many predators. I am asking $25.00 for him, or willing to trade. Below is items I will consider trading, but I am open to others. So, email me what you have.
Hens Only: Rhode Island Red, Black Giants, Faverolles, Bielefelder, Cochins, Brahmas.
Rabbits - Does Only: New Zealand, Flemish Giant.
The Salmon Faverolle was originally bred as utility poultry breed in France for winter eggs. Today the breed is rare and raised mostly for exhibition and novelty.
Faverolles are good-sized chickens with a beard, muff, feathered legs and feet, and fifth toe. Males are straw-colored with reddish brown and black markings. Females are a creamy white and salmon brown, and lay cream-colored eggs. Day-old baby chicks are fluffy and creamy white with muffs and fuzzy legs.
Faverolles do not do well in a free range setting, but are good in colder weather and have a nice disposition.
