Sebastopol geese are very unusual as they have long curly white (sometimes grey, buff or blue) feathers on their back and front and can not fly. Sometime they are born smooth instead of curly. They are normally gentle and make good pets. They are moderate layers, producing 25-35 large, white eggs annually. They are broody and good mothers and can be used as adoptive parents for goslings of their own or other breeds. Ganders can be mated with one to four geese. They're intelligent, hardy, and low-maintenance birds that offer many benefits.
