FYI, the iron canopy bars can be left off the posts if you have a fan in your room. The very top parts of each post screw into place, making the bed look finished (with or without the iron bars).
Dresser & mirror are 2 pieces but the dresser is 1 solid piece (drawers do not pull out). It is heavy.
