This is a rare find Councill (manufacturer) executive desk.Exceptionally nice, literally unused mahogany executive desk by high-end maker Councill Furniture. Hard-to-find smaller size, which makes it perfect for today’s laptop-driven workplace. Beautifully figured mahogany top, with a banded edge and string inlay. A similar treatment on the drawers - of which the center and file drawers have working locks with key. The piece is finished on all four sides which allow it to be viewed from all sides in a room. The sides and back have an inset panel design, and the base of the case portion of the desk is trimmed with a gadrooned edge. All four legs are elaborately carved on the “knees” and have ball-and-claw feet. The drawers are dovetailed and of solid oak on the sides and back. Solid polished brass hardware. Comes with 4 drawers, of which 2 of them lock, the key in included. Retails in the $7,500 range.

In mint condition. Literally unused - no marks, wear, scuffs, repairs or fading. No smoking, no pet estate.

Dimensions: 58” wide, 26” deep and 30.25” high. The space for the chair measures 24” wide and 24.75” high from the floor to the underside of the center drawer. The space from the floor to the underside of the at either side is 16”.
