Job Summary: The cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the cash register, managing transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Shift is from 2pm to 11pm.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet customers and provide assistance with their purchases.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
• Process fuel, merchandise, and lottery transactions.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, store policies, and Florida Lottery procedures.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with merchandise.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the checkout counter and store floor.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
• Can train, no experience required.
• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Knowledge of Florida Lottery procedures and regulations is a plus.
