With an ECU flash, @sarasotaoutboardtuning can change all that. Most outboard manufacturers use the same engine and just tune it to the HP listed on the cowling. For example, the Yamaha 4.2L V6 225, 250, and 300 HP are essentially the same engine. But with an ECU Flash you can safely get 332HP and save approximately 15% in fuel consumption. Increase your horsepower and increase your range with the same engine without the need to repower. Rec fuel in this area at the gas station is about $3.39/gallon (15% is $.50/gallon savings) on the water Rec fuel averages about $4.89/gallon (15% is $.73/gallon savings). Results may vary, but the savings are real.
