Ive been guiding around the world for over 20 years, I built this rig for guiding 1-2 clients for shallow water sight and fly fishing without spending the ridiculous money for a “poling skiff”. This thing sits dead quiet, no hard edges or hull slap. It will suprise you how close you can get to fish. It tracks dead straight and poles like a dream. Would be awesome for trolling motor fishing also. I built the deck high for self bailing and easy fishing. I built it as a tiller, fun, economic, and less parts to break. I kept it light, It runs good with a 25, I think a 40 would be optimal. Full 20” transom. Classic downeast style lines. I have a Job opportunity off Madagascar and will be moving soon.
