This is described by AbeBooks as a
"RARE promotional booklet celebrating John Glenn's historic Friendship 7 mission, which made him the first American to orbit the Earth" and is listed for sale on its web site for $325 (see screen shot below). Of course, it is signed by Glenn and in excellent condition. I got this same booklet when I was an admiring boy of 10-11 years old after sending Mr. Glenn a letter of appreciation asking for his autograph; he responded by sending me a signed 8 x 12 glossy color photo of himself, plus the booklet in the photos here, however, my booklet was not signed; but, as one can see from the date at the bottom of the second page, it _was_ published in 1962 by the Government Printing Office; although my copy has some discoloration at the bottom of the pages, it is completely readable, with clear pictures, otherwise. I looked for this on ebay but could not find one copy of it among hundreds of other books and John Glenn memorabilia. It may be that the bottom of the page discolorations could be "cleaned up". Even so, it remains an apparently rare item/piece of history commemorating a once/in-a-lifetime event for which I was alive at the time. As not in "mint" but still decent condition, I'm asking $35 or best offer. Thank you-especially at this financially challenging season of the year. Best wishes to you now and for the year to come.
